Trakehner Youngster Breeder’s Market
Online marketing concept for Trakehner Youngsters
In order to bring clients and breeders together as early as possible, the project of the Trakehner Youngster Breeder’s Market was successfully established last year. In the first step of the marketing concept, breeders are given the opportunity to present their young horses during the months of March and April.

The Trakehner Youngster Breeder’s Market is entering the next round!
To bring interested parties and breeders together as early as possible, the Trakehner Youngster Breeder’s Market project was successfully established. As part of this innovative marketing concept, young horses are accompanied during their training. Interested parties can follow the training progress of the prospective riding horses via the Breeder’s Market online platform.

The innovative Trakehner Breeder’s Market project enables interested parties and those seeking horses to find the right partner for their needs. Comprehensive information on future sport and leisure partners is available for viewing via the well-known Trakehner online platform.
Although it is explicitly not an auction format, many relevant data (photo, video, description, X-rays) can be viewed easily and quickly, similar to an auction.
The Breeder’s Market is deliberately designed to give all interested parties the opportunity to get to know the horses for sale up close in their home stables and to follow their training progress. At the Breeder’s Market, we promote direct exchange and personal contact between sellers and interested parties, which is why contact details such as email address and telephone number are made accessible via the platform. This allows viewing appointments to be arranged easily and directly.
In addition to the option of a direct purchase transaction between the seller and the interested party, a bid for the desired horse can also be submitted via the online platform. In contrast to classic auction formats, this is a price offer that the seller can accept (horse is sold), reject, or make a counter-offer. The interested party, in turn, has the option to accept a corresponding offer or make a counter-proposal. As soon as an agreement is reached, the horse is sold and marked as such on the online platform.
The great advantage of the Trakehner Breeder’s Market compared to established auction formats is that interested parties can decide for themselves at what stage they want to actively intervene. Thus, an interested party can secure their potentially future riding horse at the beginning of the Trakehner Breeder’s Market or intervene only after a few weeks of observation – albeit with the risk that another interested party might be faster.
