How do I become a member?

What are the benefits of membership in the Trakehner Verband?

>You become part of a significant horse breed with a special history and unique culture!

>You will receive a welcome package with surprises from the Trakehner Shop as well as further information about your membership!

>We cordially invite you to our new members’ meetings at the Trakehner Bundesturnier and Trakehner Hengstmarkt!

 

 

>The team at the head office and breeding management are available as competent contacts for all questions regarding breeding, husbandry, and sport.

>Based on your membership, we are authorized to act as a breeding association on your behalf, which specifically means that we can register your mare/stallion in the studbook or stallion book of the Trakehner Verband, register your foal, and issue an equine passport for you.

>Furthermore, as members we can offer you many services at reduced rates, e.g., change of ownership, name registrations, transfers, and premium registrations.

>You receive our monthly association magazine at the reduced price of 73 EUR.

>We support you in marketing your Trakehners through diverse offerings, from professional photo and video sessions to our listing service in cooperation with ehorses, as well as our Trakehner auctions.

>You can participate in continuing education and specialist lectures, e.g., training courses for breeding judges, or the popular Trakehner fireside chats.

>Trakehner sport promotion: as a member, you can participate free of charge in the evaluation courses for young Trakehner horses organized by the TTG in cooperation with the Trakehner Verband.

>You have exclusive access to the Transparent Studbook and can manage your horse inventory there and enter your horses for various events.

>As part of the spring evaluation, you can register your Trakehner free of charge for evaluation by the association’s staff.

>You can help shape the association: as a regular member, you have voting and speaking rights at member and district assemblies and can also hold an honorary office.

>Our Trakehner events are legendary, beginning with our spring meeting, through the central mare registrations, the international Bundesturnier, to the prestigious Trakehner Hengstmarkt—you can experience the fascination of Trakehners live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What does membership in the Trakehner Verband cost?

The annual fee is 90 EUR for individuals, 140 EUR for studs/ownership groups, and only 30 EUR for persons under 27 years of age. For new members, we charge a one-time admission fee of 60 EUR; this is waived for persons under 27 years of age. You can find our current fee schedule here.

As a personal member of the Trakehner Verband, you additionally receive the magazine DER TRAKEHNER, published twelve times a year, for 73 EUR per year.

How do regular and personal memberships differ?

Regular memberships: Members of the Trakehner Verband with at least one active breeding horse (mare or stallion). Regular membership is a prerequisite for your voting rights at member and delegate assemblies.

Personal memberships: Members of the Trakehner Verband without an active breeding horse (mare or stallion).

The status of your membership changes automatically when you register or deregister your breeding horse and is not associated with additional costs!
