Trakehner Promotion Association
The Trakehner horse is considered one of the most valuable cultural heritage items of East Prussia.
We promote Trakehners in breeding and sport and help secure and publicly present historically significant
Trakehner cultural heritage.
The statutory purpose is fulfilled through the promotion and implementation of individual breeding projects in Trakehner breeding, targeted promotion of Trakehner sport horses, the preservation and presentation of historically significant Trakehner cultural heritage, and the promotion and support of publications documenting Trakehner breeding history.
What the Trakehner Promotion Association does: promote – preserve – communicate
The promotional goals and measures of the nonprofit association, financed through donations and membership fees, include the
- Recognition of Trakehner breeding elites at stallion licensings, regional and federal mare shows, and Trakehner foal championships
- Recognition of breeders of successful Trakehner performance horses in sport
- Sport promotion of Trakehner young elites with TSF training courses and the TSF Dressage Championship
- Recognition of outstanding Trakehner sport horses with the TSF performance signum
- Promotion of the Trakehner Federal Tournament
- Public relations for the Trakehner horse
- Trakehner young breeder promotion
- Preservation of historically significant Trakehner cultural heritage
The promotion association has financed the promotion measures for more than 60 years entirely from donations and membership fees.
