Trakehner Promotion Association

The Trakehner horse is more than just a breeding line within the German breeding area. It is a cultural treasure which the Association for the Promotion of the Trakehner (Trakehner Förderverein) is especially committed to fostering.

The objective of the non-profit association financed by donations and members’ fees includes advancing the role of Trakehners in sports. That is why the Trakehner Sport Horse Promotion Programme (Trakehner Sportpferde Förderung or TSF) has set itself the ambitious aim of placing promising young horses in top-class riders’ stables at the right time. The Trakehner Förderverein has been aiming for the presence of Trakehners in major sports and the promotion of breeding since 1962!

TSF Dressage Clinic of the Trakehner Förderverein – Impulses for the beginning of winter work and further training of top Trakehner dressage horses – Save the date –

The next TSF dressage clinic of the Trakehner Förderverein will take place from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the former riding and driving school of the Hanoverian Association in Verden on Lindhooper Straße. This high-caliber dressage clinic is intended to provide important impulses for the start of winter work and for the further training of top Trakehner dressage horses. The Trakehner Förderverein has secured riding master and successful Grand Prix trainer Wolfram Wittig as the coach for this TSF dressage clinic.

This clinic focuses primarily on seven- to ten-year-old Trakehner dressage horses with an outstanding level of training for their age in the advanced class and corresponding riding, as well as on Trakehner dressage horses with Grand Prix success.

For this dressage clinic, the Trakehner Förderverein will invite approximately 12 particularly talented and highly successful Trakehner dressage horses in August 2025, based on their documented training level and current riding. Following registration, 8 top Trakehner dressage horses will participate in the TSF dressage clinic. With this TSF clinic, the Trakehner Förderverein aims to specifically promote particularly successful Trakehner dressage horses of appropriate age with a perspective for top-level sport. The goal of the TSF clinics is to strengthen the successful Trakehner presence in top-level dressage sport.
