Mare owners, please submit covering certificates

Neumünster (TV): Mare owners are requested to submit the 2025 covering certificates for their mares to the stallion owners without delay, if this has not yet been done. The stallion owners urgently need these covering certificates in order to report the covering data properly to the office by the end of September. This is a basic prerequisite for smooth foal registration in the coming year. However, unsuccessful coverings must also be reported to the office; this is required under the breeding programme and is in the interests of all parties involved, because only good data collection can provide insights into fertility performance.
Missing covering certificates, for example for mares that have not yet been entered or have not been reported as active for breeding, can be requested by telephone from the office (0 43 21 – 90 27 16 Ms Rosenthal and 0 43 21 – 90 27 15 Ms Hennies). The covering certificates can also be downloaded by the owner as a PDF in the Online Mare Studbook; however, the prerequisite for this is that the mare concerned has already been assigned to the breeder at least once. Breeders who have newly acquired a mare may therefore first need to report a change of ownership or a lease arrangement; this is also possible online in the Online Mare Studbook.
